Description

RFP & Exhibits Solicitation Number: T13SOL10038 Under the Terms and Conditions of SI Solicitation No. F13SOL10038, the selected Vendor shall provide construction services for a major renovation of the Renwick Gallery. The Renwick Gallery is in need of a major renewal of building systems to ensure preservation of the historic structure and provide efficient, safe and sustainable building conditions and operations. The Work includes, but is not limited to Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Hazardous Material Abatement, Fire Protection, Security, Telecommunications, and Finishes. Critical Elements of the Work: The successful Contractor shall be fully qualified to install critical elements of the work, as follows: Abatement of Hazardous Materials Demolition of Building Systems Replacement of major building systems in the Historic Building Structure Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Utilities Life Safety and Fire Protection Roofing Replacement Window Replacement with New Blast-Resistant High Performance Custom Windows Matching Historic Configuration and Profiles Elevator Replacement The statement of work for this project is in the 95% documents (Information Documents), which will be provided under separate cover for pricing and information purposes only. Final, 100% biddable construction documents will be issued no later than November 14, 2013, with a summary sheet reflecting all changes from the Information Documents. Funding for this project will be spread over Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015, subject to congressional authorization. Initial funding is expected from the FY2014 federal budget, which may be available in January 2014 with the remainder to follow in FY15. All proposals must confirm the division of costs associated with the expected funding for this project as set forth in the Bid Schedule. No work shall begin under this RFP unless or until the funds are authorized. This project was previously advertised under RFQ #T13SOL10022. Only those firms that prequalified under the RFQ, designated below, are eligible to submit proposals in response to this solicitation.
