- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. - Install sod instead of seeding and straw, work with NICoE contractor on this. At sloped area around the facility place fabric to help stabilize soils, and provide matting/pins to reinforce sod on the slopes. This to help prevent/ reduce the materials from being washed down the slopes. - Conduct selective grubbing/excavation within existing areas around the facility to remove old debris and dead fall, invasive and unsightly species of turfs and vegetation/vines. Fine grade the areas for proper drainage, seed and straw. - At additional locations where utility providers cut and trenched through the existing parking lot and sidewalks, remove the unsuitable materials and place appropriate materials (grave, stones) for a sub-base and provide compaction making it ready for asphalting. - At rear of facility install a pipe system to provide drainage from the patio areas planters and therapy exercise sand pit areas. Trenching is required to install the piping from patio across the rear yard area, down the slope and into the tree line. Provide a rip-rap area to outfall the drainage pipe into so no erosion will take place for the drainage. - remove some existing concrete/asphalt and sub-base materials to correct a drainage problem as water runoff collects near front of facility. Install underground piping from this area and run it to as existing storm water collection manhole within the parking lot. Install new sub-base materials, compact, and reinstall concrete/asphalt. This is to correct an area of water pooling up near front of facility. Place, Grade and Compact 8 quote mark deep of Stone Base in 4 quote mark lifts. Install and roll 2 ea lifts of 3 quote mark Base Asphalt. Install and roll 2 quote mark Surface Course. Backfill edges, seed and straw. Stripe lot for parking. I.References All work shall comply with government scope. And will conform to the requirements of all codes that pertain to the trades in this project II. Additional requirements Contractor shall coordinate project with government project manager Contractor shall verify all dimensions and site conditions prior to starting Work area shall be clean as possible while work is being done Contractor is responsible for identifying all latent conditions. Contactor is responsible for identifying all latent conditions. Contractor to contact project manager of any latent conditions prior to continuation of project.
