- AMENDMENT 02 Pre-Solicitation Notice NPTU Facility Maintenance FA4418-13-R-0006 Facilities Maintenance Support Services for Nuclear Power Training Unit located on Joint Base Charleston Weapons Station, South Carolina, hereafter referred to as NPTU. The service consists of providing all management, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to ensure facilities maintenance support services are performed for NPTU (approximately 7 buildings totaling 114,769 SF) in a manner that will maintain satisfactory facility condition and present a professional appearance. Services will be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions and industry best practices as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) with the focus on safety and customer service. Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, preventive maintenance, inspection and repair of air handling systems, plumbing, buildings and structures, exterior lighting, roll-up door service, locksmith services. The performance period for this service is an approximate seven (7) month base period of 1 March - 30 Sep 2014 plus four one-year option periods from 1 Oct 2014 through 30 Sep 2018, one five-month option period from 1 Oct 2018 through 28 Feb 2019, and one 6-month extension of services from 1 Mar 2019 through 31 Aug 2019. All labor, vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other furnished property and services except as specified in the contract as Government Furnished Property will be provided by the contractor. A fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210 with a small business size standard of $35,500,000. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 3 October 2013 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
