Description

Special Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Portland, Oregon intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to: The Advisory Board Company, 2245 M Street, NW, Washington DC 20037 This proposed action is for professional services related to the services and access that The Advisory Board provides at the Portland VA Medical Center. The requested service is access to a multitude of data and information related to the healthcare industry. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a single source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.303-1 and FAR 13.106-1. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by 09/29/2013 15:00 am EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13, this notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69, August 1, 2013.
