Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number is W912HQ-13-T-0013 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. The requirement is full and open competition. Description: Contractor shall provide one crane with the minimum lifting capabilities of 8000 pounds at a reach of 40 feet from base. Crane shall be a design that will fold as to maximize usable space when not in use. Contractor shall provide installation and training of cranes. Crane shall be direct connecting safety hook and built in cable winch with safety hook. Crane will have one (1) detachable 8000 pounds fork kit. The Contractor shall modify existing cement floor to accommodate for the horizontal forces of installed cranes at max capacity and length. Crane shall not be mounted/installed more than one (1) meter above floor level. Contractor shall install all electrical components and connections, 480V service is provided on site; within 60 feet of crane location. Contractor mount/shall install crane within the Heavy Maintenance Section maintenance bays. Crane installation shall include training/ familiarization. Familiarization will be thorough enough that those who receive the familiarization can teach others to operate crane.
