- Description
- PLEASE USE THE LATEST SECTION B TO SUBMIT QUOTES Amendment 3: This amendment is issued to: 1. Answer questions 2. Update Section B CLIN breakout 3. Add text in FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors - Commercial Items to require quoters to submit photos for each CLIN item quoted. Question 3 - There seems to be a conflict between the FRAME STYLE table in the Statement of Work and the picture of the frame on this line. The description says "w/ Side Guard" and the picture shows a frame without side guard. Answer 3 - The picture is only a guide, not a requirement. Question 4 - We also wondered if the side guard (commonly called side shields in the optical industry) are suppose to be permanently attached or clip-on style side shields. Answer 4 - Ideally some of the frame offerings will include both permanent and clip-on style shields. Section B CLIN breakout has been updated to distribute the 100 quantity metal frames with side guards amongst metal frames with permanent side guards and metal frames with clip on side guards. Question 5 - As a better option to allow for a better selection for the employees, it would be best to have two separate lines (CLINs) with prices for both the permanently attached and clip-on side shields. This way the side shield option can be added to any of the frames offered. Answer 5 - Agreed, please propose this approach. Question 6 - You have four places that you show "shoes" rather than "safety glasses "52.216-19 ORDER LIMITATIONS (a) One place. 5252.216-9401 PLACING AND PROCESSING OF ORDERS (Dec 2010) Three places. Answer 6 - Please ignore those references. They will be replaced with safety glasses in the actual contract. Question 7 - I don't see how NON-NAVY OWNED CRANES clause applies to this synopsis/solicitation. Answer 7 - You are correct, but we're required to include this clause in ALL solicitations/contracts awarded from this office. Question 8 - In reference to the above noted RFQ, line item 0010 SW06 SafeVision (Brand Name or Equal), please be advised that the SafeVision frame is the SV6 and not the SW06. Please feel free to call me with any question. Answer 8 -The SOW reflects the correct part number see link: http://www.safevision.net/prescription-glasses/52-sw06.html Question 9 - Is anti-reflective coating standard (included with every pair) on all glasses? Answer 9 -No, it's an "add-on" option to any of the glasses ordered.
