Description

The BostonVA Medical Center intends to enter into a sole source contract with Biosense Webster, Division of Johnson & Johnson, 4750 Littlejohn Street, Baldwin Park, CA, 91076. Biosense Webster will supply catheters for their Carto 3 Electro Anatomical Mapping System. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Vendors offering these supplies that are completely compatible with the Carto 3 Electro Anatomical Mapping System are invited to respond to this notice by supplying descriptive information about their stimulators to the designated Contract Specialist not later than 12:00 p.m. (local time) on Friday, September 27, 2013. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
