- This is a requirement for the Remanufacture/Overhaul of A-10 and B-1B Heat Exchangers. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging for the Remanufacture/Overhaul of A-10 and B-1B Heat Exchangers. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be two years with a minimum/maximum quantity for each line item. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture/Re-core/Upgrade Input NSN 1660-01-012-9156, Input P/N UA536660-5; Output NSN 1660-01-506-8819, Output P/N: UA536660-6; Applicable to A-10 aircraft; Minimum Quantity, 4 each; Maximum Quantity, 12 each; Item 0002: Remanufacture/Re-core Input NSN 1660-01-506-8819, Input P/N UA536660-6; Output NSN 1660-01-506-8819, Output P/N: UA536660-6; Applicable to A-10 aircraft; Minimum Quantity, 1 each; Maximum Quantity, 10 each; Item 0003: Remanufacture/Re-core Input NSN 1660-01-194-7780RK, Input P/N UA537570-1; Output NSN 1660-01-194-7780RK, Output P/N: UA537570-1; Applicable to B-1B aircraft; Minimum Quantity, 2 each; Maximum Quantity, 5 each; Item 0004 Over and Above Work; Item 0005 Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 4 each per month beginning 30 days after receipt of order and repairables for item no 0001; on or before 1 each per month beginning 30 days after receipt of order and repairables for item no 0002 and on or before 2 each per month beginning 30 days after receipt of order and repairables for item no 0003. APPROVED SOURCES is Triumph Thermal Systems Inc (78943). The approximate solicitation issue date will be 9 Oct 2013. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
