- The Department of Veterans Affairs NCO 15 Contracting Office is seeking potential sources for the purchase of the DuraSeal Dural Sealant with the Adhesion Barrier System "Cranial Durant Sealant kits". This sealant is an absorbable synthetic hydrogel, for the prevention of post-surgical cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, due to the immediate watertight seal combined with the simplicity of preparation and delivery. Postoperatively DuraSeal sealant continues to seal the suture line as healing progresses under the gel. After several weeks the hydrogel breaks down into water-soluble molecules that are absorbed and cleared through the kidneys. The requested Cranial Durant Sealant kits must be of a blue colorant that will provide the surgeon excellent visualization of coverage and thickness of the material upon application to the Dura. Location: Department of Veterans Affairs Center, St Louis VAMC, John Cochran 915 N Grand Blvd, BLDG 1 Saint Louis, MO 63106-1621.
