Description
This is a market survey for the repair and refurbishment of a Costal Hydraulic Crane model CTA-5-3-56, based at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing the repair and refurbishment of the crane, per the Scope of Work. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. Draft SCOPE OF WORK: Complete disassembly of the Costal Hydraulic Crane model CTA-5-3-56, sandblast, NDT the 35,000.00 critical welds, paint with epoxy and then white polyurethane, repack the (3) cylinders, check the tolerance on the rotation bearing. Provide all new bolts and hoses, any sloppy bearings or pins, boom wear pads, winch seal kit along with the winch brake pads, wire rope. Replace the gear oil and hydraulic oil, replace strainer and return filter. Re-seal the control valve, replace the control valve solenoid wires and umbilical wire, assemble, overload test and check the anti-two blocking and overload system. Replace bearings, valve and other parts as required to restore the crane to operational statue. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Capability Statement - This document should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), Number of years in business Please respond by reviewing the draft Scope of Work and submitting a filled-out and signed copy of the Business Declaration form (please submit electronically, email to address below). All responses to this market survey must be received by Friday, September 10, 2013, 5:00 p.m. CST.
