- Address: The proposed work is at 4 separate locations on the Hoonah Ranger District near Hoonah, Alaska. Hoonah is located approximately 40 miles southwest of Juneau on the northwest corner of Chichagof Island. It is nestled on the eastern shore of Port Fredrick near the mouth of Icy Strait. It is serviced by the Alaska Marine Highway and commercial barge lines., All existing project locations are on the Hoonah Road system. All locations can be accessed by unpaved forest roads approximately 35 road miles south of the Hoonah town center or from the Freshwater Bay Marine Access Facility located in Freshwater Bay approximately 3 road miles from each location., Hoonah, Alaska, United States
