- Overhaul/Remanufacture of the E-3 Inboard and Fillet Flap Drive Gearbox Assembly The E-3 Fillet Flap Drive Gearbox Assembly shall be returned in a like new condition. The E-3 Fillet Flap Drive Gearbox Assembly Description/Function: receives input from the pilot controlled hydraulic motor to extend or retract the inboard and fillet flaps by providing torque tubes linking the flaps together. Nomenclature/Noun: E-3 Inboard and Fillet Flap Drive Power Unit Assembly NSN: 1680-01-481-6567WH & 1680-01-008-2558AW Alternate 1680-01-574-7853AW Part Numbers (PN) 65-20846-4 & 65-20846-10 Alternate 65-20846-9 Application for E-3 RMC-R2/C The estimated issue date of Request for Proposal was August 14th, 2013 with an estimated closing date 30 days thereafter. This requirement was issued under the solicitation number of FA8118-13-D-0035. The new release date is September 27th 2013. Purchase Request (PR) number FD2030-13-02157 is for a firm fixed price requirement contract with a period of performance of one basic year and two one year options. L/I 0001- For NSN: 1680-01-481-6567WH For Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) of 6 each for basic year, 2 each for option year one and 2 each for option year 2. Required delivery 2 each every 30 days ARO/Reps. Early delivery is acceptable. L/I 0002-For NSN: 1680-01-008-2558AW For Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) of 0 zero each for basic year, BEQ 3 each for option year one and BEQ 3 each for option year 2. Required delivery 2 each every 30 days ARO/Reps. Early delivery is acceptable. L/I 0003- Data, Not Separately Priced (NSP) L/I 0004- Over and Above Current Approved Sources: Heico (cage code: 0LTU8), Boeing, (cage code: 81205). Qualification requirements apply. Award will be made be made only if the offeror meets qualification requirements at time of award. Qualification requirements are available for this part number upon request. There are approved sources at this time. All responsible sources who submit a proposal shall be considered by the Government, however, sources must be qualified prior to award. Award will be made only if the offeror meets qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Award will not be delayed pending qualification approval of interested sources. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offeror or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
