- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL), Ames, Iowa intends to negotiate a sole source, award to Microbiology International, Frederick, Maryland for the preventative maintenance on several Anaerobic stations and Autoclaves. This sole source service contract for one year is being awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the following requirement: Preventative Maintenance/Calibration of Whitley Workstations MG500 (three) and an Autoclave (one). This contract will be for only one year of routine maintenance and applicable repairs for these pieces of equipment. The services needed are available from only one responsible qualified to perform these services at this time and no other maintenance services will satisfy these needs. Technical evaluations, servicing, and repairs are required to be done by the manufacturer to assure proper function and valid test results. Maintenance, calibration and repair of the equipment must be conducted by the authorized repair depot in order to maintain warranty certification. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, and the size standard is $500 Employees.
