Description
FIRE ALARM AND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM PRICE PROPOSAL FIRE ALARM AND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM STATEMENT OF WORK The United States Department of Agriculture, National Information Technology Center (NITC), plans to award a purchase order on a limited sources basis to Siemens Building Technology, 8066 Flint Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66212, for Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems Inspection and Maintenance related to data center operations (FM-200 extinguishing system) based on requirements listed in the attached statement or work and subject to the availability of funds. Reference the Statement of Work for all requirements for this proposal. These systems will be maintained in accordance with NFPA 25 standards and the FM-200 will be maintained in accordance with NFPA 2001 standards. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform quarterly, semi-annual, and annual service and maintenance on the closed circuit television (CCTV) system and components, including camera cleaning, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions at the National Information Technology Center (NITC) in Kansas City, Missouri. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all parts, labor, equipment, and materials to repair malfunctioning CCTV system parts and components at no additional cost to the contract. The contractor shall also provide Emergency Repair Services as requested twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred and sixty five days a year inclusive of all Holidays. The contractor shall be on site within two hours of notification that there is an emergency condition in the Data Center requiring correction. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation exists for this requirement. Only contractors located in the Kansas City Metropolitan area are to submit responses to Jennifer Adams, Contracting Officer, no later than 5:00 Noon CST, November 28, 2008. A determination by the government will be made if a competitive procurement is warranted. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
