- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Detachment Norfolk VA, intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 87' Patrol Boat (WPB) Ship Service Diesel Engine-Generator (model D0824LF01/UCM224F13) Overhaul services (model D0824LF01/UCM224F13). The NAICS Code is 811310. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, the contract will be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. The simplified acquisition will be issued on a sole source basis. Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about October 2, 2013. The acquisition is to perform 87' WPB Ship Service Diesel Engine-Generator (model D0824LF01/UCM224F13) Overhaul services. The resulting contract will be a time and materials requirements contract. The Period of Performance for this requirement includes one base year and four option years. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The solicitation will be issued electronically via the Federal Business Opportunity web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. The scope of the acquisition is for 87' WPB Ship Service Diesel Engine-Generator Overhaul services. This work may include, but is not limited to: -Prepare a Receiving Inspection Report with Photographs. -Separate engine from generator and clean, disassemble generator. -Clean, disassemble engine and all accessories. -Complete overhaul of generator, including Mandatory Replacement Parts and testing. -Complete overhaul of engine, including Mandatory Replacement Parts, testing and reassembly of engine and generator. -Perform operational test. -Perform 6 hour break-in at 75% load. -Prepare and submit Engine/Generator Load Testing Report. -Paint, Preserve, Packaging, Marking and Shipping.
