- ********************SYNOPSIS/SOURCES SOUGHT ******************* THIS SYNOPSIS IS POSTED IN ORDER TO SATISFY FAR 5.203 REQUIREMENTS THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SYNOPSIS/SOURCES SOUGHT OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The subject requirement is for the repair and return of F-5 Rate Flow Indicator NSN 6680-01-061-3996XJ P/N 8DJ135LW1. The contractor shall be responsible for the accomplishment of all tasks and material necessary for the repair of the F-5 Rate of Flow Indicator in accordance with the PWS (to be attached to the solicitation) to include the removal/disassembly, inspection, essential repair, mod/update, and reinstallation of component parts and equipment, testing and assembly in conformance to the instructions, specifications, and all applicable technical data/directive. The Contractor shall be responsible for returning serviceable assets in the time set forth in the contract which shall be 45 days after receipt of reparable assets or funded order whichever is later. In the event that the government requires an asset for coverage of a MICAP requirement, the contractor shall expedite the serviceable repaired asset as directed by Item Manager. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. Total duration shall not exceed five years. Based on market research the item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for these items. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. No proprietary data should be submitted in response to this synopsis. Any submissions will be considered to be public information. Responses will not be returned.
