- Attachment A that includes complete list of NSNs to be repaired under the proposed long-term contract. NAVSUP WSS is soliciting for a five year Requirements Type Long-Term Contract for the repair /modification of 25 items that are part of the AYK-14 Mission Computers used on the E-2C, F/A-18A, F/A-18B, F/A-18C, F/A-18D, EA-6B, and SH-60B aircraft. General Dynamics, 3CYA2, Bloomington, MN is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source to possess full repair capability. Complete data, drawings and the rights to the same are not available from the Government. The following items are the top five dollar value items requiring repair / modification: Digital Computer, NSN 7RH 5895 014584314, p/n 13225798-01: 481 EA, NSN 7RH 5998 014591448 - p/n 13224338-01: 192 EA, Circuit Card Assembly, NSN 7RE 6130 011452757- p/n 85940500-14: 115 EA, NSN 7RE 5998 013289119 - p/n 13203430-06: 275 EA, Circuit Card Assembly, NSN 7RH 7021 013660352 - p/n 1097AS1004-03: 112 EA. The subject items requires Government source approval prior to contract award, as the items are flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair via full and open competition. Only the source previously approved by the government for repair of these items has been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the "http://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.cfm" U.S. Navy Aviation Supply Office Source Approval Information Brochure. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar items. This brochure can be obtained by calling NAVSUP WSS -P at (215) 697-5985. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVSUP- P, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter that forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
