- Due to the Federal Government shutdown the project site is currently not accessible for viewing. After the Federal Government returns to normal operation this project may or may not be accessible due to adverse weather. 10/3 ALL ***** PROJECT: WA PRA MORA 14(6) Nisqually to Paradise Road, Phase I, Mount Rainier National Park, Pierce and Lewis Counties, Washington LOCATION: approximately 5.8 Miles East of Ashford, WA The work consists of : Mill and overlay, Grading, Base, Paving, Roadway Stabilization, Utilities, Stone Masonry, Bridge Repair, Drainage and other smaller items. The bridge repair work includes the repair of two concrete bridges (Tahoma Creek Bridge and Kautz Creek Bridge). Work includes concrete repair, sealing concrete surface expansion joint repair, bridge deck joint repair, and painting of steel bridge railing. See "Description of Work" for additional details. Two Bid Schedules - The work will be solicited under two alternate schedules, with different amounts of work in each schedule. One schedule will be awarded. Schedule A consists of Nisqually to Paradise Road work (M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 6.55), Ricksecker Point Loop Road work, Paradise Valley Road work and underground utilities. Schedule B consists of Nisqually to Paradise Road work (M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 6.55), MSE wall at Ricksecker Point Loop Road and underground utilities. LENGTH: Schedule A, 9.789 miles Schedule B, 6.553 miles TENTATIVE COMPLETION DATE : Fall 2015 ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE : Between $10 million and $15 million. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PRELIMINARY PLANS and a letter with additional project information are in electronic format only and are posted with this synopsis. When solicitation documents are issued, the INVITATION FOR BIDS/REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (specifications and plans) will be posted at this link. This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Eligible small business firms; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
