Description
Child Development Center (CDC) and Frost Effects Research Facility (FERF) Upgrades at Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Hanover, NH. The work consists of: Child Development Center (CDC) Upgrades: The work of this project shall include removal of all existing windows on the first floor and replacement with new ones. There are two existing windows which have been installed into bigger openings. The new windows shall fully fill out the original openings, not the existing ones. All prep work, clean up, patching as necessary and all final interior and exterior trims shall be included. In addition, the contractor shall provide TWO new gutters and downspouts. Provide proper gravel bed at the downspouts to distribute the water on the site, away from the building. All prep work, clean up, patching as necessary and all final interior and exterior trims as required shall be included. Additionally, the following are Optional Items Frost Effects Research Facility (FERF) Upgrades Optional Item 1: Removal, disposal, and replacement of four existing cold storage doors, frames, and hardware. New door frames to include 6 inches height and 6 inches wide threshold made by the door manufacturer. The new frame to include heating perimeter element as per manufacturer requirements for cold door type rated for -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Contractor shall ensure existing fire alarm wiring remains in place and maintains current functionality. Optional Item 2: Removal of existing over the cold door canopies and replacing them with new prefabricated canopies. Contractor to remove existing lights from the walls above the doors and seal up outdoor electrical boxes with plates to code. Any leftover wires, brackets, old caulking etc. need to be removed and disposed off. Holes shall be filled up with foam and caulking. Provide touch up paint as necessary. Optional Item 3: Contractor shall provide all hardware, switches and electrical work necessary to provide and install two under mount lights in each of the four new canopies in Optional Item 2.
