- Description
- Justification and Approval Requirements: Work required under this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is generally for low Voltage electrical power systems (600 Volts and below) inspections and immediate corrective actions for imminent life, health, and safety (LHS) hazards at US occupied facilities throughout the Combined-Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan (CJOA-A) however exact work requirements will be defined by USG personnel. Work generally envisioned is electrical safety inspections and immediate corrective actions for imminent LHS hazards shall encompass the electrical systems within the facility envelope, to include the electrical distribution system originating from the facility toward, and including, the nearest 600V or below system power source (or separately derived system). Inspections and corrective action of LHS hazards shall include all commercial and tactical power systems for all temporary and permanent structures. less than br greater than less than br greater than The U.S. Government will fund and order the electrical bill of material (EBOM) necessary to effectively repair all of the LHS hazards. Contractor shall provide all other material, labor, and equipment to perform inspections and provide deliverables as described in this Performance Work Statement. less than br greater than less than br greater than The majority of this work shall be performed at bases with LOGCAP support, but on facilities not maintained by the LOGCAP O&M contractors. However, electrical teams supporting TF POWER may be required to provide electrical code compliance based on inspections and repairs of facilities either designated to be placed on the LOGCAP O&M contractor's density list or facilities currently present on the O&M contractor's density list in order to resolve disputes between the local command or constructing agency and the LOGCAP O&M contractor as to the electrical code violations of the designated facility. less than br greater than less than br greater than Teams will be directed by USG personnel to bases with no LOGCAP support, which have minimal security, and have more primitive dining and billeting facilities. In addition, these non-LOGCAP supported sites are remote and require intense management of the transportation efforts required to move personnel, tools, equipment and materials to and from the sites. Contractor personnel shall react to emerging conditions throughout Afghanistan and correct immediate Life, Health and Safety (LHS) issues as they are identified. Emergency requirements may be initially communicated verbally, but will be followed by written documentation. less than br greater than
