Description

This Notice of Intent to Establish a Qualified Supplier List is for information purposes only. This is not a request for submission of proposals or qualifications. RESPONSES OR OTHER INQUIRIES ARE NOT APPROPRIATE AT THIS TIME. The Defense Medical Materiel Program Office (DMMPO) Medical Materiel Enterprise Standardization Office (MMESO) and DLA Troop Support Medical Prime Vendor (PV) Program anticipate issuing a Sources Sought Notification for the establishment of a Qualified Suppliers Listing (QSL) for Epidural Trays and Needles through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about 14 January 2014. This is not a request for quote or proposal. Examples of items for the QSL could include but are not limited to: Various Epidural and Combined Epidural and Spinal Trays and Epidural Needles in various lengths and gauges. Products must be sterile, latex free or latex safe, and single use. The primary objective of this effort will be to solicit information and products for evaluation in order to create a QSL. The QSL for Epidural Trays and Needles will be the basis of a separate Standardization Action (SA) resulting in an Incentive Agreement (IA). This initiative will be part of the Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor program which is executed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, Directorate of Medical Materiel. To participate in the QSL process vendors must have or be in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) and a separate commercial agreement with the current Med-Surg PV for each MMESO Area of Responsibility (AOR), i.e., Cardinal Health, and Owens & Minor. Vendors must have a active record in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) must validate that their account is Active in the System for Award Management (SAMs). For additional information regarding DLA Troop Support Medical's PV program, please access the DLA web site at https://www.medical.dla.mil. Vendor must update relevant part numbers for this product line and ensure that all items are updated with Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Certification in the DAPA Management System (DMS) and that those products deemed non-compliant are removed from DAPA or replaced by TAA compliant products. Vendors responding to this QSL FBO Announcement will be required to must provide the date of its most recent product line update in DMS. Only submissions containing domestic products, designated country products (as defined by FAR 52.225-5) or products otherwise deemed compliant will be considered for addition to the QSL. Detailed information about the QSL requirements will be provided in the QSL FBO Announcement. The purpose of this Notice of Intent to Establish a Qualified Supplier List is to inform qualified entities interested in providing these services that the release of the QSL FBO is imminent. Upon issuance of the QSL FBO, all relevant information will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
