Description

VA245-13-B-0356- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking prime contractor construction services to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for project no. 613-13-113 Add Audiology Booth Fort Detrick CBOC at the Fort Detrick VA Outpatient Clinic, Fort Detrick Army Garrison, 1433 Porter Street, Frederick, MD in accordance with the drawings and specifications. This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, interior demolition, painting, telecommunications, fire suppression and fire alarm, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC. Estimated construction cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220, size standard: $33.5 million. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be eligible for award. Only SDVOSB Firms currently verified in the Veterans Information Pages (VIP) at www.vetbiz.gov are eligible to submit bids/offers. SDVOSB firms that submit bids/offers on SDVOSB set-asides that are not listed on VIP will be deemed nonresponsive. There will be one pre-bid site visit which will be held on October 30, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m. local time at the Fort Detrick VA Outpatient Clinic, Fort Detrick Army Garrison, 1433 Porter Street, Frederick, MD. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the site visit. Interested parties must obtain a visitor's pass from the front gate entrance. All questions generated from the site visit shall be submitted in writing to the contracting officer (email address: angela.burger@va.gov). The deadline for questions pertaining to the solicitation is November 6, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m. local time. No telephone inquiries will be answered. Prospective contractors are responsible for downloading plans, specifications, and any issued amendments from www.fbo.gov. Solicitation documents will be available on or about October 18, 2013. A public bid opening will be made at the VA Medical Center, Facilities Management Service/V5 Contract Satellite Office, 510 Butler Avenue, Building 308B (Conference Room), Martinsburg, WV. Bid opening date is November 20, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m. local time. This procurement is subject to availability of funds.
