- Description
- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Project 556-13-106: Renovate Surgical Flooring. The renovations shall include but not be limited to construction services to replace the surgical flooring with sub-floor preparation; at the CAPT James A. Lovell FHCC. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision for general construction and renovation of the Surgical Flooring, as outlined in the contract specifications, and as shown on the contract drawings. Phasing the construction may be required to accommodate building occupants on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The Work also requires protection of surrounding areas of the construction for occupant safety, infection control measures, and maintains unobstructed egress routes in addition to protecting the perimeter of the building. Work is to be completed within 130 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about October 25, 2013 with the bid opening on/about November 25, 2013. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238330; size standard $14.0 million applies. Note: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center has moved to new offices. Our new address is 115 South 84th Street, 1st Floor, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a "Re-verification" symbol listed next to the firm's name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
