- DRAFT DFP: The U.S. Army is seeking sources for portable load banks to support military generator set maintenance. The ideal candidate will not exceed 84 pounds in weight (do not count cables and shipping case). The load bank will support testing of 120 and 240 VAC, 60 Hz, single phase generators 2KW through 5KW as well as 208 and 416 VAC, 60Hz, three phase generators 5KW through 60KW. The load bank should have controls and status indicators that display voltage, current, frequency and power. The load bank should also have a safety system that protects from overloading and overheating. The load bank can utilize power from the generator for cooling or a 120VAC external power circuit. The load bank will have a quick disconnect cabling system that does not require tooling to connect or disconnect. Request prospective offerors provide literature detailing your product(s) that may be able to meet the Army's requirements. Also, if you have the capability to tailor your product(s), please provide information concerning load step customization and additional features that you can provide.
