- The AFTC Installation Contracting Division/PZIOBC, Eglin AFB FL intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for one laparoscopic instrument kit under the authority of FAR 13.106(a)(1) to Carefusion 2200, 25146 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1250. Anticipated award date is 23 October 2013. Carefusion 2200 is the only company that offers the tools listed below with the ability to be broken down for sanitizing. The doctors performing the surgeries area also trained and familiar with the ergonomic characteristics of the tools listed below. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001: Laparoscopic Instrument Set: SP95-8368 Maryland Dissector 5mm, 36c(qty 2), SP94-8382 Grasper, Hunter, 36cm (qty 2), 88-8248 Grasper, Retraction, 37 cm(qty 3), SP95-8367 Dolphin Nose Dissector (qty 1), SP90-8806 D-Drive2 Delicate NDL, LA8108 Hook Scissor Monopolar Spin free 5mm (qty 1), SP95-8637 D-Drive2 McKernan NDL, LA708 Knot Pusher 4mm 30cm (qty 1), SP90-1053 Switch-Blade Click fit Reusable (qty 1), 89-5103 Switch-Blade CVD Metz Scissors (qty 1). These items must be delivered to: 96 MDG, EGLIN AFB, FL 32542 on an FOB Destination basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 339112, small business size standard: 500 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes, however all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The government will consider all responses received within 15 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
