Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, NCO 9 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with GE Healthcare, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd W443, Waukesha, WI 53188 for the maintenance service of high tech x-ray equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219. The contract will be awarded as firm fixed priced contract. The contractor must be able to provide all of the items listed above. The requirement is unique in GE is the only vendor that can provide the remote support and on-site maintenance due to proprietary software in use. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, responses from other than the above sources may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting it in writing to the Network Contracting Office 9, ATTN: Stacey McClendon, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 or Fax 615-849-3789 no later than October 11, 2013, 9:00 AM Central Standard Time. The Government will not pay for any information submitted by respondents as a result of this notice of intent.
