- SCOPE OF WORK 517-14-106 Remodel Pharmacy Areas 1st and 4th Floors PROJECT OUTLINE This project shall consist of removing wallpaper, painting all walls, replacing existing ceiling lights with LED lights, replacing 2' x 4' ceiling grid with 2' x 2' ceiling tile/grid, removing all carpet and installing type SVT flooring tile in pharmacy dispensary spaces located on both 1st and 4th floors of Building #1. This project is to be for the VA Medical Center in Beckley, West Virginia. Pharmacy Renovation This scope of work (SOW) is intended to provide the general contractor an in-depth description of work to be done. The information provided in this SOW is to include, and is not limited to, the following: 1.Remove all Wallpaper, Carpet, VCT flooring, and existing 2' x 4' ceiling tile/grid and light fixtures. 2.Install new 2' x 2' ceiling tile with white tile and grid. 3.Install replacement 2' x 4' LED lighting, wiring and controls. 4.Repair all walls and paint per drawings and specifications. 5.Repair and paint all door frames per drawings and specifications. 6.Install replacement SVT flooring on all floors in pharmacy space. Contractor is required to make a site visit to verify existing conditions prior to submitting a proposal. Site Visit is Mandatory to bid on this project. Contractor will be required to maintain a safe environment for all staff, visitors and patients. Contractor will conduct work on schedule dictated by the occupants of the occupied workspace. This will involve evening and weekend non-clinical work hours. Contractor will be required to store material in a contractor supplied storage building. Contractor will also be required to supply a dumpster for material disposal, and if required, an Office trailer which will be located on VA property per COR guidance. Adherence to VA Specifications and Special Hospital Requirements during all phases of construction is required by the Contractor. A copy of the VA Master Specifications will be provided by the VA and distributed to each prospective general contractor to use in his bidding process. The general contractor shall conform to all the provisions of the contract documents, and shall provide the necessary sub-contractors skills, materials and labor required to complete the project.
