Description
Fleet GPS Request for Information/Source Sought: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes and planning purposes only in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy and potential set-asides. The Government is seeking responses from and vendors capable of providing the services below, specifically small businesses capable of performing the required services. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation document exists at this time. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) has an anticipated requirement for Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking and service for the Government Vehicles utilized in the Recruiting Mission. The vehicles will be operated in the Continental United States for approximately 2,344 vehicles. GPS tracking and services shall include as a minimum: • Satellite, hybrid and street maps show real time location of vehicles. • Monitors vehicle location near landmark or within established perimeter. • Historical reporting of vehicle's location and usage. • Engine diagnostics and required vehicle maintenance alerts. • Vehicle speed monitoring. • Alert of vehicle use outside of user parameters. • Escalated paths of notifications for alerts. • User-friendly self-installation and troubleshooting. • Roadside assistance (i.e. jump-start, towing, flat repair or replace, emergency fuel delivery). • Compatible with Networkfleet GPS device wiring. • Warranty. • Connectivity of tracking source. The anticipated NAICS is 518210 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500. 2. Period of Performance. This is an annual requirement with a base period of nine (9) months and four (4) one-year option periods. Period of Performance as follows: Base Period January 1, 2014 - September 30, 2014 1st Option Period October 1, 2014 - September 30, 2015 2nd Option Period October 1, 2015 - September 30, 2016 3rd Option Period October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2017 4th Option Period October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018
