Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes shall reference solicitation number W911S2-13-T-0001. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. Fort Drum intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for Road Salt. The requirement is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 325180 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Prices are fixed for the period specified in this contract and actual quantities and delivery location will be specified in individual delivery orders. This request for quotes will result in a fixed price per unit for the period of 28 October 2103 through 31 May 2014 (FY 2014 winter season). Delivery and exact location on Fort Drum will be specified in individual orders. Quotes shall be good for 60 days. This is currently an unfunded requirement. If funds become available it will be awarded at that time. CLIN 0001: Road Salt; mineral sodium chloride (NaCL greater than 95%) deicing salt for roadways by the net ton. All prices are inclusive of delivery to Fort Drum NY 13602. All deliveries shall be covered with water repellant material, The government will have the right to refuse any load of salt not properly covered to control moisture content. The quantity in this line item represents the total dollar value offered. The contractor shall enter the total amount in the area provided for each CLIN. The following AFARS clauses are applicable to this acquisition 5152.233-4000 AMC-LEVEL PROTEST PROGRAM (NOV 2008) If you have complaints about this procurement, it is preferable that you first attempt to resolve those concerns with the responsible contracting officer. The HQ, AMC-Level Protest Program is intended to encourage interested parties to seek resolution of their concerns within AMC as an Alternative Dispute Resolution forum, rather than filing a protest with the Government Accountability Office or other external forum. Contract award or performance is suspended during the protest to the same extent, and within the same time periods, as if filed at the GAO. The AMC protest decision goal is to resolve protests within 20 working days from filing. To be timely, protests must be filed within the periods specified in FAR 33.10. If you want to file a protest under the AMC-Level Protest Program, the protest must request resolution under that program and be sent to the address below.
