Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, Boise VA Medical Center located at 500 West Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702, in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1) intends to solicit from a single source. Richard Allen Scientific, a Thermo Fisher Scientific Brand maintains sole proprietary rights to provide preventive maintenance and repair services on the Shandon Excelsior Tissue Processor. The NAICS Code is 811219 and the size standard is $19.0 million. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, or Single Sourcing, for acquisitions under $150,000.00 or Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) is 41 U.S.C. 253(c), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide preventive maintenance and repair for the Shandon Excelsior Tissue Processor in accordance with all manufacturers' specifications. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 pm on October 17, 2013. All responses must be e-mailed to carley.graham@va.gov.
