- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT. This is a Sources Sought announcement to be used for preliminary planning purposes to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Community of Contractors to compete and perform a fixed price type contract. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. No quotes are being requested or accepted with this SOURCES SOUGHT AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, intends to issue a solicitation for Building and Grounds Maintenance Services at East Branch Lake, Elk County, Wilcox, Pennsylvania, 15870. East Branch Lake is located on the East Branch Clarion River, 7.3 miles upstream of its confluence with the West Branch Clarion River at Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania, to form the Clarion River. The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price type contract for this project. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow up information requests. The general performance work statement includes, but is not limited to: Grass mowing, maintenance of landscaped areas, pesticide application, cleaning of picnic tables, grills, fire rings, offices, restrooms, raw sewage removal and solid waste removal. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder for this project. Period of Performance will be 1 December 2013, or date of award whichever is later through 30 November 2014, with two one-year option periods (totaling three years). North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 561210. Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is $33.5 Million. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought synopsis. Offerors response to this announcement shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information: Offerors name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. Offerors interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued. Offerors capability to perform a Grounds and Maintenance contract (comparable work performed within the past 5 years, brief description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, customer satisfaction, and dollar value of the project) provide at least 3 examples. Offerors type of business and business size. (Whether large business, small business, HUB Zone, Service Disable Veteran Owned Business, 8(a) or provide a copy of SAM registration that includes CAGE and DUNS). Interested offerors shall respond to the Sources Sought Synopsis no later than 1:00 PM (EST) 23 October 2013. All interested contractors must be registered in System for Awards Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov (include your DUNS# and/or Cage Code#) to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
