Description

This is a presolicitation notice to indicate that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 intends to issue a solicitation for radiopharmaceutical isotopes in support of the Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), Columbus, OH. The solicitation will be in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 325412, Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing and the size standard is 750 people. The solicitation will be issued as full and open competition, no set-aside. The solicitation and subsequent contract will call for the contractor is to provide radiopharmaceutical isotopes as requested by authorized VA Staff in accordance with Public Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153 in order to support Columbus VAACC. The contractor must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be regularly established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. Additionally, the contractor shall meet the Department of Transportation, NHPP, FDA, OSHA, and all other agency rules and regulations (Federal and State); the contractor shall abide by the Title Code of Federal Regulations (CFR 10). The Government intends to make a single award with a period of performance of date of award for a base year plus three (3) one year option periods. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about October 21, 2013 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain the solicitation and posted documents. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Potential contractors must be fully registered, to include Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), in the System for Award Management (SAM), (https://www.sam.gov), to be eligible for any subsequent award.
