Description
Sources Sought / MARKET RESEARCH Packing, containerization and drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) personal property shipments of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, and Portland, Oregon. The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of packing, containerization and drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) personal property shipments of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, and Portland, Oregon. The intended contract period is for a base period with four (4) one-year option periods (five years total). The Government anticipates that it will award two contracts from one solicitation: one for performance within a 50-mile radius of Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the other for performance within a 50-mile radius of Portland, Oregon. Description of services: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform packing, containerization and drayage of Direct Procurement Method personal property shipments as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government-furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. The area served is typically within a 50-mile radius of Joint Base Lewis-McChord and within a 50-mile radius of Portland, Oregon. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time. The Contracting Officer will determine which suggested changes, if any, are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. The Government may use your responses for the purposes of determining how the requirement may be stated and/or how the Government may conduct the procurement. Interested parties shall not construe this sources sought announcement as a commitment by the Government, whether implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. The Government previously posted this Sources Sought under W911S8-13-R-0018. Further responses to this Sources Sought are not required. A SOURCES SOUGHT QUESTIONNAIRE is below.
