- Description
- The work includes modifying an existing historic hangar to support C-17 maintenance operation requirements. Work involves modifying existing concrete floor slab to support jacking points of aircraft, adding new tailgate door, relocating high bay lights, removing exterior floodlights, and incidental related work. This is NOT a design/build procurement. Estimated range is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contract completion period is anticipated to be 325 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 and Average Annual Receipts Is $33.5 Million Over the Past Three Years. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT COMPETITION WILL BE LIMITED TO 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA HAWAII DISTRICT OFFICE (HDO) AND OTHER 8(a) CONSTRUCTION FIRMS WITH A BONA FIDE PLACE OF BUSINESS (IN ACCORDANCE WITH 13 CFR 124.3) WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL COMPETITIVE AREA AND WITH THE ASSIGNED NAICS CODE. ALL OTHER 8(a) BD PARTICIPANTS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT BIDS. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available on or about 18 November 2013. The IFB will be available through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov. CDs and printed copies of the IFB will not be issued. Contractors must register at the FBO website to obtain access to the IFB. Registration instructions can be found on the FBO website. Once registered in FBO, the contractor must request explicit access to the project. An email will be forwarded once the contracting office has approved or declined the request. Approved contractors may view and/or download the project. Amendments will be posted to the FBO website. It is highly recommended that firms register on the FBO website as this will be the only plan holder's list available. It is the bidder's responsibility to check the FBO website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation.
