Description
Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose," this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources for a contract vehicle to obtain laundry and dry cleaning support services. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The laundry and dry cleaning support services includes processing of listed laundry and dry cleaning items, pressing, hanging and or packaging of processed items, and pickup and delivery at designated locations within the government installation. Following is a list of laundry and dry cleaning items: •1. Flame resistant flash hoods and gloves used for firefighting training. Items to be laundered and packaged in contractor supplied laundry bags or carts (50 to 70 pounds excluding bag/cart weight). Separation and folding of items not required. Estimated average quantity is 10 bags/carts (500-700 pounds) per week, not to exceed 600 bags/carts per year. •2. Ceremony table cloths used for recruit graduations and receptions. Items to be laundered, pressed, folded, and packaged in contractor supplied flat containers or wrapping. Estimated average quantity is 4 table cloths per week, not to exceed 275 table cloths per year. •3. Military uniform sets (tops and bottoms) for male and female to include Service Dress Blues, Service Dress Whites, and Navy Service Uniforms. Items to be dry cleaned, pressed in accordance with Navy Uniform Regulations, hung and wrapped on contractor supplied hangers and wrapping. Estimated average quantity is 144 uniform sets per week, not to exceed 7,500 uniform sets per year. Place of Performance (Site Locations) The performance of this work will be at the following location: Naval Station (NAVSTA) Great Lakes, Illinois 60088. NAICS Code The NAICS Code for this requirement is 812320, Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin-Operated), and the Size Standard is $5.0Mil. Anticipated Contract The proposed contract is a single award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract, with Firm Fixed Price (FFP). Period of Performance The period of performance for this requirement will be a 12 month base year and four 12 month option periods. This contract is estimated to commence on 30 December 2013. Responses to Solicitation for Information Contractors response shall include the following information and can be submitted in your own format: Size of company, i.e., 8(a), WOSB, SB, Veteran, all others, number of employees, revenue for the past 3 years, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back 5 years and your company's capability to perform the type of work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Standard company brochures will not be reviewed. Submissions are not to exceed four (4) typewritten pages in no less than 12 font. Also, please indicate if your company can be a prime contractor for this effort or, if not, whether your company can be a subcontractor. All technical questions and inquiries maybe submitted within the response. Questions will not be answered; however, they will be utilized in the formation of the official RFP. The requested information is for planning and market research purposes only and will not be publicly released. Again, this is not a request for a proposal. Respondents will not be notified of the results.
