- Description
- The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) is soliciting bids to construct a building to serve as a security checkpoint and a restroom facility at the site of the Visitors' Center at Eisenhower Lock in Massena, New York. The building will be approximately 2,000 square feet and will include a lobby area with an information desk, men's and women's restrooms, a storage room and a utility room. The project will also include demolition of the existing restroom building, site work, the installation of all utilities and the construction of a septic system to include a septic tank and a buried sand filter. The IFB will be available on October 16, 2013 with a response date of November 15, 2013. The cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. W ork is to commence within 30 days of contract award and is to be completed by July 15, 2014. The specifications and drawings shall be provided on a CD at a non-refundable cost of $20.00 US Funds. Payment may be made by check payable to the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, 180 Andrews Street, Massena, NY 13662 or electronically using a debit or credit card at www.pay.gov. Applicable NAICS code - 236220, Size Standard - $33.5M. This is a total small business set-aside procurement. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway. Prospective offerors must be registered on the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Attention: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers financial assistance to eligible small businesses. Maximum line of credit is $750,000.00 with a variable interest rate tied to the prime rate published in the Wall Street Journal.
