Objectives: The purpose of this SOW is to request the leasing of 2 new or used trucks/trailers. The leasing company would provide the truck and the trailer because that would allow for easier maintenance and customer support. The trailer needs to have a lift gate and side door installed to assist with lifting of heavy materials. Place of Performance: USPFO Warehouse, 5629 SR 16W Bldg 2400, Starke, FL 32003 and throughout the state of Florida Truck/Tractor: Tandem Day-Cab Tractor, 80,000 GVW, fifth wheel trailer attachment, Diesel Fueled, minimum of 400 horsepower, 10 speed transmission to include all accessories and equipment to ensure comfortable ride due to the length and duration of the drive. The truck should have at least a 150 gallon fuel tank. a. The equipment shall be of the latest design by industry standards and comply with all Federal and State motor vehicle safety regulations. b. Equipment shall be no more than 3 years old and shall have less than 250,000 miles c. A joint inspection by the Contractor and designated Government agent will be performed at the time the equipment is delivered. Documentation of the condition of each vehicle will be performed and a copy provided to the Contractor. Should any or all of the equipment be determined unacceptable the Contractor agrees to either implement repairs/modifications to make the equipment acceptable or provide a like item replacement of the equipment without additional charge or delivery charge to the Government. Said repairs/modifications or replacements to be effected within 24 hours of discovery. If the Contractor is unable, for any reason, to comply with this requirement credit for lost time to the Government may be accomplished by extending the lease one day for each day lost. Otherwise, the monthly statement shall duly reflect each day lost and credited accordingly. Trailer: Need to Have Minimum 48' Trailer w/ Air Ride Suspension and tuck away/lift gate for provide safer and easier lifting capabilities. Side door needs to be provided on trailer for easier access to trailer. Preferably the inside of the trailer should provide a system to install safety bars that will prevent equipment from falling over during the trip of the Zone mission. Equipment Maintenance: a. In support of daily operations to be performed during the term of the lease, the Government agrees to provide fuel for the vehicles. b. Should the equipment become inoperable due to mechanical or electrical breakdown the Contractor agrees to provide appropriate repairs to correct the problem within 24 hours of notification or replace the unserviceable equipment with a like item. If the Contractor is unable, for any reason, to comply with this requirement credit for lost time to the Government may be accomplished by extending the lease one day for each day lost. Otherwise, the monthly statement shall duly reflect each day lost and credited accordingly. c. Equipment damaged while in the use of the Government will be repaired by the Government. Prior to repairs being made, a joint inspection by the Contractor and designated Government agent shall be performed. Lease Options: 12 Month lease (29 September 2013-28 September 2014) 3 Option Years All Maintenance Costs All predictive maintenance costs All tire costs Complete and total road assistance All licensing services Account management All financing costs Discounted fuel rates Tax exempt Ability to re-domicile fleet as needed Estimated mileage per month per vehicle/trailer is 1700 miles.
