Description
This sources sought notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. The Government is conducting a survey to determine the availability of capable Economically Disadvantage Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) firms that can perform Elevator Maintenance Services. This request for information should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of any procurement. A short synopsis of required services extracted from the PWS is as follows: The Contractor shall provide personnel, management, and any other items and services, not Government furnished, necessary to perform the Elevator Maintenance Service function as defined in this work statement at Fort Hood, Texas. The Contractor shall perform to the standards and specifications in this contract. This contract encompasses thirty seven (37) elevators systems located in twenty six (26) facilities. This contract provides Preventive Maintenance (PM) once a month on all elevators and handicap lifts. Work shall consist of performing PM and repair work necessary to maintain elevator systems in a consistent safe, reliable, and satisfactory operating condition. The Government's primary objectives are: The objective for performance under this contract is to provide elevator preventative maintenance and repairs on the elevators and handicap lifts in accordance with (IAW) ANSI/ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. Personnel: The Contractor shall provide sufficient personnel to execute all work requirements within established standards and timelines, and possessing the skills, knowledge, and training to satisfactorily perform the services required by this contract. Contractor personnel and any representative of the Contractor entering Fort Hood, Texas, shall abide by all security regulations and shall be subject to security checks. Contractor personnel and property shall be subject to search and seizure upon entering the confines of Fort Hood, Texas, while on Fort Hood, Texas, and upon leaving the confines of Fort Hood, Texas. The Contractor shall be responsible for assuring all Contractor personnel authorized to perform work under this contract obtain installation access as required by DOD Directive 4630.5. Government furnished identification shall be returned to the Government when the employee no longer performs work for the Contractor under this contract. The Government anticipates a 12-month base period of performance with 4 option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractor. Small Business Size Standard is $14,000,000. Interested parties should submit a Statement of Capability indicating qualifications and capability to perform any/all of the services described above. Information should include any relevant past job experience in providing same/similar services. Identify the types of services you have performed, which services you have not performed but have the capability to perform, and how long it would take you to be technically and financially prepared to begin performance. The responses must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. This requirement intended to be set aside for EDWOSB firms; however you can respond to this notice if you are a small business but not an EDWOSB. Include business size and type (i.e., Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, Section 8(a) Small Business, or Large Business) in relation to the size standard for NAICS 238290. No Government contract can be awarded to a vendor who is not actively registered in the System for Awards Management (SAM).
