- FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Kevin Ridgley, 443-395-4767 kevin.d.ridgley.civ@mail.mil The government is seeking sources for a high capacity type 90 battery. The battery should be higher capacity and lighter weight than the BA-5390 and BA-5590 primary, non-rechargeable batteries. The current specifications for the type 90 are below. *MIL-PRF-32271A (draft, dated, 09 October 2013), *MIL-PRF-32271/1A (draft, dated 09 October 2013), and *Drawing A3315878 Rev B. *To obtain a copy of these documents, reply via email to this request. Interested sources of the high capacity battery, as currently described by the above listed specifications, shall provide via email: 1.Comments and/or requested changes and justification or reasoning on the defining specifications, 2.Major cost drivers (testing, materials, production process, etc), 3.Price break estimate (savings per range of order quantity), 4.A summary of performance data for source battery design when tested as specified or similar, and 5.Estimated lead times and required production times for range of quantities. Sources wishing to provide alternate designs, deviations or chemistries from the above specifications shall summarize the differences in the proposed designs performance data, showing where they wish to deviate, justifications to deviation and benefits over specification. Responses should be emailed to Kevin Ridgley at kevin.d.ridgley.civ@mail.mil, no later than 30 October 2013. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION; no award will be made as a result of this request. This market survey is for informational and feedback purposes only; this is not a Request for Proposal (RFP).
