Description
Announcement. The U.S. Army will hold a Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) Update to Industry Day and One on One Customer Feedback Sessions on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the Ft. Belvoir, Virginia Officers' Club. The goal of the event is to keep the industrial base informed on planning status for upcoming NIEs and to conduct one on one small group industry feedback sessions. AGENDA 0730-0830EST- Registration 0830-1200EST- NIE Update to Industry 1200-1300EST- Lunch (End of Session for attendees not participating in afternoon Customer Feedback Sessions) 1300-1700EST- One-on-One NIE Customer Feedback Sessions with Senior Army Leadership Note: Detailed agenda will be emailed prior to the event. NIE UPDATE TO INDUSTRY The NIE Update to Industry presentations by Senior Army Leadership will provide updates to our government and Industry Partners on the following areas: - Army's vision and direction for the NIE moving forward - Requirements process in support of the NIE as a result of identified Army needs - Acquisition Improvements/Opportunities as a result of the NIE - Short overview of the agile process, NIE Laboratory efforts and execution Questions will be permitted during NIE Update to Industry Day regarding the Army's direction, requirements, acquisition, agile process, laboratory effort and execution. Questions not answered during NIE Update to Industry day will be noted and posted to a government website or distributed so all potential vendors can view them. Full agenda and schedule for NIE Update to Industry Day will be provided after the registration process is completed. The NIE Update to Industry will be held from 0830-1200 on Tuesday 19 November 2013. Registration will be open to the first 100 people wishing to participate in the NIE Update to Industry. It is not required to have participated in a previous NIE in order to register for the NIE Update to Industry. Space will be limited to no more than three attendees from each company. Attendees must be identified in the registration package. Registration requests must be submitted by 1700 EST on 1 November 2013 and attendees will be chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis. ONE-ON-ONE NIE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK SESSIONS The NIE Customer Feedback Sessions will be conducted for government and Industry Partners that have participated in the execution of an NIE only. The goal of the customer feedback sessions is to facilitate discussion and feedback between Industry Partners that have participated in previous NIEs and senior Army Leadership. These sessions will give individual Industry Partners an opportunity to sit face to face with senior Army Leadership. There will be approximately 10-12 sessions scheduled so space is limited. Selected industry attendees will be invited to participate in sessions after submission of complete application form. It is not necessary for Industry Partners to participate in the NIE Update to Industry in order to participate in the Customer Feedback Sessions. Those meeting the specific criteria established for participation will be selected on a first come first serve basis for participation with a minimum of 20% of sessions reserved for small business attendees. Minimum criteria for selection to participate in the Customer Feedback Sessions are as follows: 1.Applications must be submitted by 1700 EST on 1 November 2013. Applications will be accepted prior to deadline and attendees meeting all criteria will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. 2.All required fields on the application form must be complete. 3.A minimum of one senior representative from Industry Partner Organization must be in attendance and identified in the Application. This individual must be at the executive level of leadership within the organization. 4.Space is limited to five individuals from Industry Partner Organization in addition to the required senior representative; individuals must be identified in the Application. Industry Partner Organization must have had a capability solution participate and evaluated at an NIE through NIE execution. Applicable NIEs: 12.1, 12.2, 13.1, 13.2, and 14.1. (14.1 NIE Field Evaluations will be complete November 13). If your company is selected for a one on one feedback session and all six of your representatives wish to attend Update to Industry Day (A.M. Session), we will reserve additional seats for that event. 5.Industry Partners must submit at least one topic / question that they would like to address with the panel of senior Army Leadership during their one-on-one session if selected. Full agenda and schedules for NIE One on One Customer Feedback Sessions will be provided after the application process is completed and all selected Industry vendors confirm their participation. Industry Partners not selected to participate in the Customer Feedback Sessions should look for future opportunities to participate in additional Customer Feedback Sessions on the Federal Business Opportunities website. REGISTRATION DETAILS Please register by filling out the attached NIE Industry Day Registration Package which includes the quote mark NIE Update to Industry quote mark Registration Form and the quote mark One-on-One NIE Customer Feedback Session quote mark Application (tabs at the bottom of attached excel document) and return it to the following address: usarmy.detroit.sosi.mbx.sositechassessments@mail.mil NLT 1700 Friday 1 November 2013. Note: Availability is limited. It is not required to fill out both tabs of the registration packet; please only fill out the tab for the session in which attendance is desired. If the Industry Partner Organization wishes to participate in both sessions then both registration packages must be filled out in the attached excel document. Changes to registration packages will be considered new submissions and original registration forms will not be considered. Admission into both sessions will be on a first-come-first-serve basis according to email time stamp in which registration package was submitted. Registration forms submitted to the incorrect individuals will not be considered. The NIE Update to Industry Day is open to all members of the supply chain pending space availability. All representatives MUST provide a government form of photo identification to enter Ft. Belvoir and at registration at the Ft. Belvoir, Virginia Officers' Club on the morning of Tuesday 19 November 2013. Additional gate information for Ft. Priority space will be reserved for Industry attendees but open to Government representatives if additional space is available. All registrations must be received NLT 1700 Friday 1 November 2013. Registration will be closed on 1 November 2013 or once maximum capacity for Update to Industry and One on One Feedback sessions is reached, whichever comes first. There is no attendance fee. Lunch will not be provided during the midday break. The dress code is business attire for civilians and duty uniform for military. AFTER REGISTRATION Once registration is received and processed, an invitation, gate access/parking instructions and detailed agenda will be emailed to you prior to the event. You must accept the invitation within 48 hours in order to guarantee your spot at Update to Industry Day and One on One Feedback Sessions. The invitation email will serve as proof of registration and will indicate the individuals from your organization invited to attend. You must notify us of changes to individuals after receipt of your invitation. The invitation will include additional instructions. YOU MUST BRING THE INVITATION WITH YOU TO REGISTRATION THE MORNING OF TUESDAY NOVEMBER 19, 2013. FINAL NOTE The US Army will make every effort to hold the NIE Update to Industry and One on One Customer Feedback sessions at the times, dates and locations specified. The US Army holds the right to cancel and/or change NIE Update to Industry and One on One Customer Feedback session event times, dates and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, speaker cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event. The US Army holds the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. In the event that the US Army must cancel the event, the US Army will not be responsible for costs incurred in preparation for NIE Update to Industry and One on One Customer Feedback sessions. In the event of predicted inclement weather, a decision will be made by 5pm on the prior day.
