Description

This Notice of intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(g), the Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to procurement Vmax Encore Software on an other than full and open competition basis with Carefusion 211, Inc., 22745 Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda, CA 92887. This purchase is for 1 SWY kit VMAX Encore Ver 27-X software and license, and 1 Optiplex XE Window 7 to upgrade current VMAX Encore System currently installed to be compatible with Windows 7. System must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems presently installed/performing. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334513. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within seven (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to Connie Ganier, Contracting Officer, NCO 7, Birmingham, VA Medical Center via e-mail at connie.ganier@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the contracting specialist will proceed with the sole source procurement with Carefusion 211, Inc.
