Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors with the capability to provide all labor, tools, equipment, material, travel, vehicles and supervision to provide snow removal and deicing services for the Edward Hines VA Hospital and the Joliet Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Joliet, Illinois 1200 Maple Rd. Services. The Hines VA Hospital is limited to parking lots and sidewalks @ Buildings North and South of Bld.200, 113, 128, 228 and Fisher House only. Parking lots included are, North Parking Lot A, North Lot C, SCI Lot, South Lot F, East Lot E, East Lot D; Services shall be performed in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory and safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors during periods of snow and ice. Contractor shall provide snow removal equipment to include, but not limited to, Contractor owned trucks, plows, loaders, and salt spreaders. Contracted services are estimated to be required from approximately November 1 through April 30 for each period. All interested SMALL BUSINESSES, SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES AND VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. Interested parties must submit a brief summary of their capabilities to this office by NOON on Monday, OCTOBER 29, 2013 to include detailed description of the firm's experience in maintaining large areas or facilities. Please also provide a DUNS number, name and phone number of a point of contact in case further information is needed and GSA/FSS contract number if applicable. Summaries must be submitted via email to Lori.Eastmead@va.gov. The sources sought are issued solely for information and planning purposes to determine availability of qualified vendors and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. The procurement will be completed under NACIS 561730. Please note that this is not a request for proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
