Synopsis: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS REQUEST IS NOT A SOLICITATION. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IAW FAR 15.201(e). This notice is strictly for market research and planning purposes and does not constitute a request for proposal, quote, or invitation for bid, nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government to its ultimate acquisition approach. No award will be made based on this information and the Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. Although "proposal" and "offeror" may be used in this request, your response will be treated as information only. The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of potential sources about their size standard classifications and capability to support the GSA Automotive Special Order Program for Medium and Heavy Vehicles. Respondents of this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals. The Government reserves the right to select, one, some, or none of the submissions for further investigation. Contractors who submit information in response to this RFI do so with the understanding that U.S. Government personnel as well as their support Contractors may review their material and or data. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any improperly identified proprietary information. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. General Information: The GSA Federal Acquisition Service’s office of Travel, Motor Vehicle and Card Services is seeking information from companies qualifying under defined Small Business Socioeconomic Programs and capable of supplying medium and heavy duty trucks. NOTE: This program is primarily performed under NAICS 336120 - Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary. However, we highly encourage responses from HubZone, 8(a) Certified, SDVOSB, WOSB, and other Small Disadvantaged Businesses defined under FAR Part 19. Program Description: Approximately 50,000 vehicles are procured annually from GSA Automotive. GSA Automotive offers an array of deeply-discounted vehicle solutions to meet all of an agency’s automotive needs. When using the GSA Automotive program, customers are ensured direct and easy access to a full spectrum of automotive vehicle solutions. GSA is a mandatory source, under FPMR 101-26.501, for purchases of new non-tactical vehicles for DOD, federal executive agencies and other eligible users. Ordering has never been easier for Government agencies using GSA’s online tool, AutoChoice. AutoChoice lets agencies compare manufacturers, configure vehicles,choose equipment and color options, and view side by side comparisons of vehicle models from manufacturers to assist in making a best value selection. Agencies can also use AutoChoice to check your order status, get miles per gallon fuel ratings, select dealerships, and run reports. Vehicles purchased through AutoChoice are built-to-order. Our wide selection of vehicle products include: Alternative fuel vehicles Ambulances Buses Light trucks Light trucks - vocational Medium and heavy trucks Sedans Wheelchair vans Request for Information: We are requesting information from small businesses capable of supplying medium and heavy duty trucks including vehicles defined as wreckers and heavy cargo movers. Based on the preceding information we are asking potential small business contractors to submit a capability presentation document with information about the company’s experience in supplying medium and heavy duty trucks and established relationships with truck manufacturers. Responses must include company name, address, at least one designated point of contact, telephone number, and an email address. Also, include your business type, e.g. Small, Small disadvantaged, Women-owned, HUBZone, Service-disabled veteran-owned, 8(a), etc. Please contact your local SBA office for assistance with getting your small business designated correctly.
