- This synopsis is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit from, negotiate with, and authorize and approve an award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, on a Sole Source basis, with Stratus Technologies. This action is accomplished under the statutory authority cited in 10 USC 2304(c) (1): FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirement. The proposed FFP contract is for the procurement to provide parts and maintenance warranty for existing Government owned computer server equipment below: REQUIREMENT: Contractor shall provide personnel, management, parts and warranty maintenance for STRATUS ft Server 2500 Rack Mountable 1-way DRM dual Core 2.0 GHz CPU and 10 Expansion Option PCI-X located at Fort Sill, OK. The First Responder server provides vital data to the Fort Sill Installation and Comanche County area. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers and is posted for ten (10) calendar days. No solicitation package will be available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received by 4:00 p.m. (CST), 1 November 2013, the contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract is based on this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
