Description
This is Sources Sought Announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No Formal Solicitation Exists At This Time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, Virginia is seeking potential sources capable of providing Standby Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Ambulance Services. The applicable NAICS Code is 621910 with a size standard of $7.0 Million. THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION LIST: The Salem VA Medical Center is seeking Stand by Ambulance Services for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ambulance (s) shall be licensed, capable of handling a balloon pump, respirator and meet the minimum vehicle requirements as mandated by the Virginia Emergency Medical Services Regulations Board of Health Rules and Regulations Governing Emergency Vehicles. Chassis or compartment modification is permissible when they clearly exceed the minimal specifications. The electrical system must at a minimum meet the standards of the Federal Specifications for Ambulance, KKK-A-18228 Section 3.7 Electrical System and Components dated June 1, 1984. The ambulance (s) shall have patient compartments facilities oxygen and suction systems and equipment environmental climatic equipment, commutation equipment and additional systems equipment has required by the State regulations. There should also be space to accommodate an IABP (INTER-AORTIC BALLOON PUMP and Respirator.) Contractor employees must have Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Also able to handle and knowledge of IABP AND Respirators is a plus. Copies of BLS&ACLS) certification shall be submitted with the Contractor's proposal. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; brief capability statement of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
