Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs in South Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source base plus options year contract with VERTHON INC - Bothell, WA to provide certification service. VERATHON is to provide full maintenance to include full calibration, repairs, shipping cost, tools, test equipment, and other incidentals necessary to provide preventive maintenance to maintain or restore equipment to operating specifications. The services are to be conducted on the applicable instruments: BladderScan BVI 3000, BVI 9400, AVL/GVL Monitors and Blade/Baton. NAICS code 339112. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 P.M.
