Description

Please see SOW. Rockwell Collins is the OEM of the 721S series of radios and has already developed the remote control unit and the HAVEQUICK module. For a company to reverse engineer the control unit and module they would need specific information that is proprietary to Rockwell Collins which would require an agreement between the two companies for a monetary payment to Rockwell Collins. This added cost would inflate the overall cost to the government considering the small quantity being acquired. The Government intends to award a sole-source; firm fixed priced contract to Rockwell Collins This procurement is commercial item IAW FAR Part 13. No solicitation will be issued but responsible sources may submit inquiries or request for information to Stephanie.m.gutierre@navy.mil or by phone at 951-273-4709. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302-1 FOR THIS PROCURMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, OR SUBMIT CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTEREST IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS.
