Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (CESAM) intends to award an out-of-scope modification for the designer of record (DOR) to provide Construction Support Services to include review of shop drawings that are extensions of design, review of select submittals, DOR site visits for technical issues, technical support in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and design support for discretionary change orders during the construction phase of the project in the amount of $212,654.00 under the authority FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy requirement. Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements would result given any other action due to current circumstances. The base contract was awarded under W91278-12-C-0006 (W91278-11-R-0006)for Design of Joint Special Operations University, MacDill AFB, FL was awarded under full and open competition procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all information received within fifteen days (15) after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability Statements submitted should demonstrate the offeror's experience and expertise to provide the services identified above within the time frame required and without substantial duplication of cost to the Government. The statement shall include business size; ability to self-perform work; layers of subcontracting; and any other information indicating a legitimate ability to meet these specific requirements.
