Description
1. The Government, Indian Health Service, is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of performing Laundry/Linen Services at various locations, see table 1 below. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Laundry Services as defined in the Performance Work Statement Table 1 Facility Location Desert Visions Residential Treatment Center Sacaton, AZ Parker PHS Indian Hospital Parker, AZ Peach Springs Health Center Peach Springs, AZ Hopi Health Care Center Polacca, AZ Unitah & Ouray Service Unit Fort Duchesne, UT San Carlos Service Unit San Carlos, AZ Bylas Health Center San Carlos, AZ Fort Yuma Indian Hospital Winterhaven, CA The inventory consists of common types of linens generally used in a hospital environment. • Sheets • Draw sheets • Patient gowns • Under pads • Cubical curtains • Hamper bags • Hand towels • Bath towels • Wash clothes • Pillow cases • Blankets • Doctor towels • Uniforms The Contractor shall comply by all applicable regulations, publications, manuals, and local policies and procedures. 1. Center for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines for Laundry in Healthcare facilities. 4. American Institute of Architects Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Healthcare facilities. 5. Indian Health Services Indian Health Manual http://www.ihs.gov/ihm/index.cfm?module=dsp_ihm_pc_p5c10#5-10.4C 2. The Request for Proposals (RFP) number is 14-247-SOL-00004. The solicitation could result in either a single award or multiple award contract. The resulting contract will be a fixed-price requirement contract. The anticipated contract period is for a one-year base period with four (4) one-year option periods (five years total). 3. The Government will not honor telephonic requests for the solicitation. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time. The Contracting Officer will determine which suggested changes, if any, are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. 4. The Government may use your responses for the purposes of determining how the requirement may be stated and/or how the Government may conduct the procurement. Interested parties shall not construe this sources sought announcement as a commitment by the Government, whether implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. 5. The emphasis for this market research is to determine if small businesses are in existence that can support this effort. If you are an interested small business enterprise that provides these services please submit, via email, a brief statement of interest and a summary of your capabilities. In the summary of capabilities please provide any information on recent contracts for this type of service that you have accomplished work under. The information should include the contract number, name of the agency that wrote the contract, the magnitude of the contract in dollars, a brief description of the overall requirement and your involvement and responsibility under the contract.
