Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs in Temple Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with two option years with Radiological Physics Associates (RPA) - San Antonio Texas to provide Radiological Physicists Services. Services include collecting and performing analysis of x-ray equipment performance tests. RPA will be responsible for conducting performance tests in accordance with Texas Department of State Health Services regulations contained in 25 TAC §289, ACR, NCRP, and/or any other applicable authority on all radiography equipment listed as well as any radiography equipment acquired by CTVHCS during contract term and provide written reports to Chief, Imaging Service, Chief, Biomedical Service, and to the Radiation Safety Officer. The reports will include a summary of any regulatory discrepancies and physicist recommendations or comments. NAICS code 541990. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 P.M.
